SAMPE NORTH AMERICA NAMES CHAPTER OF THE YEAR 2023 WINNER

July 3, 2023, DIAMOND BAR, CA – The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) North America Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the prestigious “Chapter of the Year” award goes to the SAMPE Los Angeles chapter (“SAMPE-LA”).

SAMPE-LA has a long-standing tradition of giving back to the materials and processes community through its monthly chapter meeting speaker series, industry tours, and showcasing its sponsored SAMPE student chapters by holding onsite lab tours and research talks at the students' respective colleges and exploring new technologies through the Manufacturing Problem Prevention Program (MP3).

This award is a reflection of the excellent work of the Los Angeles chapter members and their passion for giving back to the industry. The chapter had an active role in supporting the SAMPE Foundation’s composites book and video project, ‘COMPOSITES: LIGHTER/STRONGER/BETTER’ and in awarding the George and Irene Epstein Memorial Scholarship to well-deserving first-generation college students majoring in STEM programs from Fairfax High School and GALA High School.
