SAMPE ANNOUNCES PAST PRESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE TO GLOBAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Wednesday, May 4, 2022, DIAMOND BAR, CA – The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE), today announced the appointment of Allan S. Crasto, Ph.D., FSAMPE, as a Past President Representative to the SAMPE Global Board of Directors, joining Dr. Jyrki Vuorinen from Finland.

“Dr. Crasto’s contributions to SAMPE are impressive,” said Nick Gianaris, Ph.D., PE, FASM, and SAMPE Global President. “He is currently leading an effort to engage SAMPE fellows to solicit input and recommendations on increasing their involvement for the betterment of the SAMPE community. We want to leverage the technical prominence and reach of SAMPE’s esteemed Fellow Class to further position SAMPE as the preeminent society for material and process engineering. Dr. Crasto’s work is an essential part of that goal.”

In addition to engaging SAMPE Fellows, the Global Board of Directors is focused on building an inclusive global community to serve as a collective that addresses material challenges and process solutions.
